Osprey

A pair of osprey live above MTBCity from spring to fall and fish Spring Meadow Lake all day every day. You’ll see their giant shadows pass over you as you move around the property or relax.

bears

MTBCity is less than 100 yards from FWP’s wildlife rehabilitation center. During the summer you’ll likely see cubs playing on the equipment from our “Beer & Bears Deck”.

Magpies are super smart and fun to watch. They also build the ugliest nests.

Deer visit us daily. Mostly mule deer, but sometimes whitetail. The calmer and quieter you are, the more likely you’ll see them.

Rascal drops by occasionally. He’s a grumpy old man but will warm up to you if you scratch behind his ears.

HOney Bees

We’re beekeepers. The bees fly mostly due north and don’t bother our guests but if you’re allergic and/or terrified of bees you may not want to stay here. If you’re curious about beekeeping, we can loan you a suit and crack open a hive and show you how it works.
